Hotdog Waffle Ingredients

best seminars, seminars bad ...

of recent events, I've made a few thoughts on "seminars". I get more requests to train where you qualify can. I have visited in recent years, of course, a lot of training, and since I teach myself, I am more critical of what makes a good seminar. Although I can not call any one supplier for the desired seminar, I would like today to just give you some food for thought, what there is to be considered for the search. This is, of course, my subjective criteria:

first Seminar time: the seminar time is specified in advance? And by that I mean not only the beginning and end, but the actual teaching time. For the last time I've seen everything: 90-minute lunch breaks, 3 hour long round of introductions and spontaneously precipitated Seminar days. If the pause time has not be specified in advance, then you should get this info at least on request. Know the institution is not how the teacher works, but this seems very questionable ... Finally, the teacher usually receives even the hourly wage.

second Training and practical experience of the lecturer: Does the lecturer experienced in the technique, or even those just learned first? To find out, also helps a preliminary investigation. If it is announced on the homepage of the faculty that a technology is used in August (eg new massage offer) and have a training seminar for the same month will be offered, I would suspect that their own training take place earlier than in July and will therefore refrain from registering. But perhaps there are other reasons why the best: ask!

articles about practical experience: A large medical practitioners of acupuncture school employs teachers who have not passed the exam HP / fail or are doctors. Since an activity in which one could gain practical experience, Therapy-laws ban, the question arises: is unlawful conduct these teachers, they have no experience or only practiced in the family?

The statement of the qualifications of teachers should indeed be obvious, but it is not, unfortunately.

third Certificates / Certificates of participation / Title: some participants, it is important to obtain a "certificate". However, this is just another word for certificate of attendance. It also knows every potential employer or client (with the possible exception of the customers, but do rarely see papers). The enigmatic title, the more you should watch out! With titles such as spa and wellness massage therapist will be happy to attract participants, but they should know they may not necessarily call it that, regardless of what is written on the paper that you received!

"masseur" is a protected professional title. Since the term "sound massage" has already been warned, it can be assumed that even "Spa massage" is not allowed.
as "therapist" can be described only doctors and medical practitioners. All others, it is not legally allowed to treat diseases. It is questionable whether the lecturer, which outputs such certificates, indicating in his seminars on the borders in the wellness industry. My experience is not so positive. Contraindications may be discussed yet, but it is also treated like lost. The fact that even once a massage, relaxation etc. unit must refuse to do this in often.

4th The script: This one will not be able to find out beforehand, but the quality of the script is meaningful in terms of quality the seminar and lecturers and of course the school. I wait for example for 5 years on a script of the previously mentioned large HP-school, which is represented in many major cities. The lecturer had not finish up the seminar, it was nachschicken by mail and has not done so despite repeated reminder. The seminar is offered every year since then, and I do know that it now includes a script. I have also reminded the school, but not yet received even a reply. Let's go
'd like to think that you get a script. Then of course there should be meaningful and spelling errors, also have a real content, of a subsequently further help (eg the precise massage sequence).

5th The seminar costs: Here, on the subscriber's end the question: What am I willing to pay? But you also should have an eye on proportionality. For schools who pay the teacher 30 Euro per hour, but take 140 Euro (eg 14 participants x 10 euro) get hold of the participants for a relatively cheap price, but the school does not invest in the quality of teachers. Meanwhile, but certainly before 40 euros per person per hour demands, mostly from individual sellers. If this is it for one or two lessons, the course from a financial point of view for the instructor, for the participants but very expensive. Since then, each participant must make his own decision. Seminars with high material consumption are probably more expensive than those without.

In any case, the principle is not that the seminar is worth more, the more expensive it is!

6th Content: content, it is possible that participants and teacher have different ideas, especially at seminars with an unclear title and major courses corresponding sections. A good teacher has planned the seminar from careful considerations and set the course. It extends to information, if necessary, if questions remain unanswered at first, but not every participant has to implement request. To a good Seminar participants are also good! Which I define as follows: Scientific and eager to learn, but also ready to do something yourself and trust the teachers for the time being, that he knows what he is doing and why. The spa area is just "let sprinkling" so much about, than whether to become active themselves. Schools may of course support by mandatory seminars for at least a rough tables of contents are given. avoids too much disappointment on the part of participants.
specified content should always be treated!

7th Feedback forms: These assessments are helpful for providers and lecturer. The experience shows that participants comment anonymously negative than if they are to provide their name. Nevertheless, one of the written feedback helps to improve the work, and the subscribers can see it: It's not about to complain, but the provider to give a chance for improvement. Or: If everything was good, they want to express recognition. Provider, seek the feedback forms are so interested in the quality of their work. If there is no feedback forms, it is for the participants of course free to give a response yet: in writing or by mail at best.

This list is certainly not complete and as I said against my own subjective opinion. However, This has emerged in several years on both sides (players and lecturer). If anyone has additions, I like to take this on.

I wish you all the best seminar research!

A final note: Even when working in the spa area, especially women and make them the majority of the participants and lecturers, I have not the text "GE-gendered," but leave it in the male names. Anyone who feels marginalized them, may be forgiven me.
