Who does that houses, supermarkets unlock again, take the goods? The photo-artists Romana Dorant, Elke Bitter and Viktor Kriwanek ask a question that is rarely found in art today. At least since Andy Warhol's soup cans dominated the representation of consumption, more precisely, of goods. In the exhibition series "working class heroes" present the artists in the photo-wien factory work photography. They show what's in the stores, supermarkets and department: performance the workers.

Part 1 of "take-a-break" is about the time between, before and after the stress produced in which the workers back to work. The product is visible. Construction workers sit or sleep for lunch on the sheathing - are free to put licensed images of the German Federal Archives of shift changes in the 60-ren (Romana Dorant). In the closed supermarkets work absent only at first glance - the question of the extension of shop opening hours and after the private life of the sellers, imposes itself (Elke Bitter). For the truck drivers to Tehran means the holiday break in the cab's not really relaxation (Viktor Kriwanek).

The nature of the Breaks also documents the status of the workers - no eating out for lunch, not 180 square meters on the top floor, not a 5 star hotel on business. For photo-factory-wien is this view of life program. The aim of the artist's initiative is to show the society as it is. In our own shop studio do the artists give their work public, allow direct contact between viewers and artists, buyers and producers.
