Three Masted Ships In The 1700's

Hygiene problems in nursing homes

... We discussed in the last final seminar. And I've just read a section in this very recommendable book "Conscious Health promoting behavior - Psychological knowledge base for physiotherapy, sports and occupational therapists" by Bertrand and Michael Lisbach Zacharopoulos from the Elsevier Publishing. The book is suitable but also for health consultants, fitness and wellness trainer and others active in fraud prevention.

It provides an overview of psychological approaches to health issues from a psychological perspective and case examples, how to deal with difficult customers or special situations (eg wine fit for the massage).

An example is that of "different standards of hygiene." What should you do if you have a customer who has bad odor? We had a fairly lively discussion about yes and now I want to introduce you nor the opinion of the authors:

Stay on the factual level, so that the customer remains largely spared from negative feelings, he does not feel so reprimanded. It is also possible to inform, that you have a wash area that can be used by the customer, if he so wishes, and before, has no opportunity to wash themselves (see Bertrand and Zacharopoulos, 2007).

teachers can also take a few washcloths with the seminar, to be prepared for this case.
